Drei gezielte Strategien – Programm, Tragstruktur und Gebäudehülle – bilden die Grundlage für die umfassende Erneuerung eines überholten öffentlichen Gebäudes, das den heutigen Anforderungen der Bevölkerung von Boadilla nicht mehr gerecht wird.

Die Massnahmen zielen auf eine funktionale und gestalterische Transformation ab, wobei die bauliche Identität und Erinnerung an das ursprüngliche Gebäude bewusst erhalten bleibt. Durch die strukturelle, programmatische und formale Neuausrichtung wird jedoch eine radikale Weiterentwicklung angestrebt, welche die Lebensdauer des Gebäudes markant verlängert und dessen Nutzungsflexibilität nachhaltig verbessert.

This intervention pursues a fundamental transformation of the building’s function and identity while consciously preserving the memory of the original structure. Through structural and programmatic redefinition and a contemporary reimagining of its form, the project seeks to extend the building’s lifespan and significantly enhance its adaptability for future use.
